Grade 2

Mrs. Paige Moore

Hello, my name is Paige Moore, and I will be teaching 2nd grade this year! I was born and raised in Mobile, AL. and graduated from the University of South Alabama with a degree in elementary education. I have seventeen years of teaching experience. Early in my teaching career, I taught 4th and 5th grade at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic school. During my time at St. Luke’s Episcopal School, I taught PK, 4th grade, and 3rd grade. I have been married to my husband Brian for twenty years. We have two daughters, Adele and Sarah Paige. Adele is headed to the University of Alabama in the fall, and Sarah will be attending McGill-Toolen as a sophomore. We enjoy spending time together as a family. When I have a little free time, I enjoy curling up with a good book or taking a long walk with one of my dogs. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of such a fantastic school and look forward joining the St. Dominic community.

Miss Emily Printz

Hi my name is Emily Printz and I am one of St. Dominic’s new second grade teachers.  I am beyond thrilled to be back at SDCS, but this time as a faculty member.  Growing up, I attended St. Dominic’s from kindergarten through eighth grade and now I’ll be teaching at my alma mater.  Not only did my brother and I grow up at SDCS, but my mom also went to St. Dominic’s.  Needless to say, my family has been a part of the school and parish for quite some time.
I graduated from the University of South Alabama with a degree in elementary education.  This will be my fifth year teaching.  I have taught third grade at St. Luke’s for four years.  As much as I enjoyed my time at St. Luke’s, I really wanted to teach at a Catholic school.  Being a part of my students’ Catholic journey as they receive their First Holy Communion and Reconciliation is a huge blessing for me.
I am surrounded by the most wonderful family and friends.  When I am not teaching, I am spending a lot of time with them.  My only child is my precious dog Danny.  Although, I did have a student tell me that I was the class’s school mom and I agree with that.
The beach, karaoke singing, running, music, and relaxing with a movie are things that I really enjoy.  While I love my hobbies, I am extremely passionate about teaching and being a positive role model for my students.
