Parish Administration and Social Functions

Parish Council – The purpose of the Parish Council is to act as a vehicle of communication by which the people of the parish may obtain an understanding of the operations of the parish and have a definite voice in the policies, which the parish may undertake, both spiritual and temporal. The Council consists of nine elected representatives serving a term of three years (three representatives elected each year), appointed representatives from the various parish committees/groups, and the pastor acting as president. Any member of the parish may attend Council meetings.

Parish Office Volunteer – The parish office often needs individuals to assist with various mailings, to help prepare the weekly bulletins for distribution, to clean candle cups after Easter, and to handle other miscellaneous items. Volunteers are contacted on an “as needed” basis.

Jubilee Club – The Jubilee Club was formed to give “seniors” an opportunity to come together socially. Members meet monthly for supper and entertainment
such as speakers, Bingo, music groups, and a casino night. On occasion, the club sponsors day and overnight bus trips to various places of interest.

Dominican Fryers – The Dominican Fryers are a group of men and women who gather together during Lent to run the Fish Fry’s. We prepare and serve the food, clean the hall and kitchen. This is a great opportunity to meet and work with your fellow parishioners. We always need volunteers.
