I currently have a seventh grade homeroom and teach seventh grade religion, and sixth and eighth grade social studies. I love sharing my Catholic faith and my love of history with my students!
I am a graduate of St. Dominic Catholic School (1974), McGill-Toolen Catholic High School (1978) and the University of South Alabama (1983). I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education, and am certified to teach social studies in grades four through twelve. This is my twenty-ninth year at SDCS! I worked for thirteen years until my daughter was born. When she entered preschool, I returned as assistant principal for three years, and then went back into the classroom in 2004. I have served on the school’s Leadership Team and PTO Board ,and I also oversee the school’s annual Christmas Gift Drive. I was recognized as an outstanding teacher in 1994.
My daughter, Lauren, attended St. Dominic and McGill-Toolen. She is currently studying architecture at Auburn University. My husband, John, and I are members of St. Dominic Parish.
I am a graduate of SDCS (1991). In 1995 I graduated Theodore High School and went on to receive my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of South Alabama in 2001. My teaching experiences include stops at Our Lady of Lourdes and St. Ignatius. I returned to Saint Dominic in 2007. I was honored to receive the NCEA Distinguished Graduate Award for St. Dominic School/Parish in 2013. Both my children are attending Saint Dominic Catholic School because I believe in a firm and sound Catholic Education. You will also see me at St. Dominic sporting events because I am heavily involved with the CYO/Booster Club sports program as a coach, referee, and advisor.
