My name is Hannah Findlay and I am the music teacher here at St. Dominic. I was born and raised in Mobile. I attended Corpus Christi where I played bass clarinet in the Prep band. I then went McGill-Toolen Catholic School where I played in the marching band, jazz band, and oboe in the concert band. I went on to The University of Alabama on music and academic scholarship. During my time at Alabama, I played clarinet in the Million Dollar Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and Contemporary Ensemble. My senior year, I worked as the band director’s assistant at Collins Riverside Middle School in Tuscaloosa County. I graduated in with honors in December 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in instrumental Music Education. I moved back home where I was fortunate enough to spend the end of the last school year as the middle school math substitute here at St. Dominic. This is my first full year of teaching and I am very excited to spend it in the music classroom. Outside of school, I am a member of the Mobile Pops and I sing in the St. Therese Choir at Little Flower.
