My homeroom is 7B and I teach sixth, seventh, and eighth grade math. This is my first year at SDCS and I am very excited to be here. I love Catholic schools – I attended St. Ignatius and McGill-Toolen in Mobile. I went on to graduate high school from the Alabama School of Mathematics and Science. My bachelor’s degree is from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and I have a Master of Arts in Teaching from Spring Hill College. In 2011, after graduating from SHC, I married my husband, Rob Herbst, and moved to Bowling Green, Kentucky. I taught at the Catholic school there – St. Joseph School from 2012 until 2015 moved to Mobile last year. My husband and I are happy to have found a new parish home in St. Dominic Parish.
I am delighted to teach math at St. Dominic Catholic School! I’m greatly looking forward to starting a Math Counts team and working with the Scholar’s Bowl team.
