I was born and raised in Decatur, Illinois. I moved to Mobile, Alabama to attend college at the University of South Alabama. I graduated from South with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology in 2009 and a Master’s of Science in Biology in 2013. While in graduate school, I taught introductory biology lab to majors and non-majors. After finishing graduate school, I began working at the University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast Research as a lab technician under Dr. Frank Hernandez. I left that position to begin pursuing a teaching career with Mobile County Public Schools. I came to St. Dominic’s in 2015 and had a wonderful first year. I can not say enough about how welcoming everyone has been and I look forward to another great year here!
I met my husband Jon Carrier through a sorority sister and we were married in July 2011 and welcomed our first child, Harper, in March 2013 and our second little girl, Mackenzie, in May 2016. We are members of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
